After hotel check-in in Kargil, visit the Kargil War memorial in Drass It was in this very region in which the Indian Army fought and won the famous war of Kargil. After breakfast drive towards Leh, en-route visiting the 11th century Alchi oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh - a UNESCO listed heritage site. Thereafter, visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa after sightseeing back to the Hotel, Overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, also known as Valley of flowers via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the World, (18,380 ft).
Visit Diskit Monastery after driving to Hunder. On your arrival in Hunder check in the camp.
After enjoying lunch proceed to enjoy a walk on the banks of the Shayok river, you can also enjoy a ride on a double-humped camel on the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. Overnight stay in Hunder.
After breakfast drive to Turtuk (which is first time opened for the tourist in 2010) which is a place Annexed by India only after the 1971 war, the village of Turtuk is one of the only Balti villages in India and lies right next to the LOC. The village with the whole population of Muslims still resembles mini Pakistan. The village inhabitants still use traditional utensils which are crafted from stone. Explore the village of Turtuk the village offers views of a beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley.
On clear days you can have a glimpse of the K2 mountain peak located across the border in Pakistan. Though a Muslim village, there are few gompas located on the plateau above Shyok River and there is an old royal house to see in the village. Return to Hundar by the evening. Overnight stay in Camp, Hunder.
After breakfast at the hotel we drive to the next destination Pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik ( Pangong). It's short cut and it's a beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok river and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village. It took us less than an hour to reach Shayok, and we were delighted at the sight of the rather big village surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very picturesque. Afternoon we reach Pangong lake and enjoy our day at Pangong lake. Overnight stay at camp.
After breakfast, leave Pangong Lake, Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, the biggest monastery of Ladakh. Later drive on to Leh, en-route visiting the picturesque Thiksey monastery. Shey Palace, 3Idiot School and after sightseeing check in Hotel and overnight in hotel
Full Day Rest in Hotel and Shopping. Overnight at the hotel.
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.
